Brief HistoryColeson Cluster was built during the mid-60s at the very beginning of Reston's burgeoning residential development. At that time, it was the "end of the line" of Reston's development boundary. With 45 townhomes spread over four-and-a-half acres of lush lawn and trees, it is now an established community noted for its proximity to Lake Anne, Lake Anne Elementary, and Reston Town Center. Its townhomes are representative of several designs by the architect Chloethiel Smith, all with flat roofs, large windows, and contemporary styling. After Coleson Cluster was created, other developments were established along Wainwright Drive, including Governor's Square, Wainwright Cluster, Vantage Hill, Mediterranean Court, and The Courts over the course of next 15 to 20 years.
